Prayagraj (UP), Aug 6 Justice Vikram D Chauhan of Allahabad High Court on Thursday recused himself from hearing revision petitions of Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan and his son Mohd Abdullah Azam challenging a Rampur court order in the dual PAN card case.
The MP/MLA court in Rampur had on May 23 increased the jail terms to the father-son duo from 7 years to 10 years in the case.
When Khan's counsel mentioned the case for hearing on Thursday as scheduled, Justice Chauhan recused himself and asked that the matter be placed before the Chief Justice for nominating another bench.
