CBI case, which led to the retention of original records at trial courts to avoid delays. However, Justice Vidyarthi clarified that these directives do not apply to concluded criminal trials, where sending the original records would not halt ongoing trial court proceedings.
Justice Vidyarthi stressed the importance of procedural compliance, stating, "The Rules are meant to be obeyed by everyone, more so, by all the Courts of law." He directed the trial court to send the original records without further delay to facilitate the appeal's hearing scheduled for August 17, 2026.
