New Delhi, Sep 28 The hearing in an anti-Sikh riots case against Congress leader Jagdish Tytler was adjourned on Monday because of a medical emergency for the daughter of the accused.
Special Judge Ruby Neeraj Kumar was hearing the proceedings regarding the cross-examination of the then CBI inspector, Rishiraj Sharma.
The judge said, "His further cross-examination is deferred at the request of counsel for the accused (Tytler), submitting that the daughter of the accused is on a ventilator at the hospital and doctors have called him to the hospital due to a medical emergency."
"Request is not opposed. Allowed," he added.
The court posted the matter for further proceedings on October 12.
