CJI Surya Kant inaugurates 24x7 automated locker facility at SC

New Delhi, Sep 1 Chief Justice of India Justice Surya Kant on Tuesday inaugurated a 24x7 automated locker facility set up by Bank of Maharashtra inside the Supreme Court premises here.


The facility, described by the bank as a technology-driven initiative aimed at enhancing convenience and security, was inaugurated in the presence of other judges of the Supreme Court and Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Sanjay Lohiya.


Lohiya appreciated the initiative and said the automated locker facility would significantly improve convenience and security for its users, said a press statement.


Bank of Maharashtra Managing Director and CEO Nidhu Saxena said the initiative was aimed at combining technology, security and convenience to provide a seamless banking experience.


"We are committed to bringing the best-in-class banking experience to our customers by combining technology, security and convenience", the CEO said.


"We are proud to introduce this automated locker facility at the Supreme Court of India, which is being launched for the first time by a Public Sector Bank in India," Saxena said.
