Justice A Y Kogje sworn in as Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh HC

Bhopal, Sep 10 Justice Alpesh Yeshvant Kogje took the oath as the 30th Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court on Thursday.


MP Governor Mangubhai Patel administered the oath of office to him at a function held at the Lok Bhawan here.


Chief Minister Mohan Yadav was present on the occasion.


Before his current appointment, Justice Kogje served in the Gujarat High Court.


The swearing-in ceremony began and concluded with the singing of the national song, Vande Mataram, and the national anthem.


After the ceremony, Governor Patel and CM Yadav extended their best wishes to the newly appointed Chief Justice.


State Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar, Deputy CMs Jagdish Devda and Rajendra Shukla and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
