Nanded, Jul 30 A sessions court in Kandhar in Nanded on Thursday sentenced a man to life imprisonment for the murder of his mother.
Nrusinha Balaji Kendre was found guilty of murdering his mother with a sharp weapon during a domestic dispute in Belawadi village under Malakoli police station limits on October 24. 2023.
Based on the complaint by the victim's husband, a case of murder was registered, leading to the arrest of Kendre, who possesses an engineering degree.
Investigators collected witness statements, medical and forensic evidence, seized the weapon used in the crime and filed the chargesheet within the prescribed time.
Officials gave credit for the police work, which led to the conviction, to the district's 'Trial Monitoring Cell' established to ensure effective prosecution in serious criminal cases.
