Kochi, Sep 29 A court in Keralam on Tuesday sentenced a 48-year-old man to life imprisonment for stabbing his wife to death at their home near Kalamassery in 2018, police said.
North Paravur Additional District and Sessions Court-II judge Baiju T D also imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh on the convict, identified as Salju, police said.
According to police, the incident occurred on October 11, 2018, when Salju stabbed his wife to death, suspecting her of having an affair. He was arrested subsequently but was granted bail in 2021.
Salju went into hiding after that and was arrested again in 2023 in the Vennala area, police said.
