Nanded, Jul 31 A Nanded court on Friday sentenced a man to life imprisonment in a 2022 murder case, while three others were acquitted.
Additional Sessions Judge Mohammad Nasir Mohammad Salim convicted Gurumaharaj Shivdas Swami (31), a resident of Palaspur Point in Himayatnagar, under Indian Penal Code provisions for murder, attempt to murder, grievous hurt with dangerous weapons and other offences.
Swami attacked Sheikh Imroz Sheikh Jalil (27) with a sharp weapon amid an argument near Gharapur Phata on January 5 that year, resulting in the latter succumbing to injuries during treatment. The complainant, Sheikh Nadeem Sheikh Jalil, also sustained serious injuries in the attack.
