New Delhi, Jul 11 The coordination committee of all district court bar associations of Delhi on Saturday issued a letter of gratitude to its members on the high court's recommendation to enhance the pecuniary jurisdiction of district courts from Rs 2 crore to Rs 10 crore.
"On behalf of the coordination committee , I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the members of the district courts and convey my thanks....," said a letter issued by the committee's secretary general Vijay Bishnoi.
"The recommendation of the full court of the Delhi High Court to enhance the pecuniary jurisdiction of the district courts from Rs 2 crore to Rs 10 crore is the result of our collective efforts and unity," the letter added.
It, however, said that the committee would continue vigorously pursuing the issue with the Centre and strive to achieve the "ultimate objective of enhancing the pecuniary jurisdiction to Rs 20 crore or unlimited."
