Thane, Sep 24 A court at Bhiwandi in the district on Thursday reserved its decision on an anticipatory bail application filed by former BJP MLA Narendra Pawar in connection with a gang-rape case.
Judge N K Karande is expected to pass the order on September 28.
The court had on Wednesday refused interim protection from arrest to Pawar.
As per the First Information Report registered at Padgha police station, the complainant woman had approached the former legislator to seek help in resolving her marital dispute. Pawar allegedly summoned her to Kalyan's Tilak Chowk, where she was picked up in a vehicle driven by co-accused Shailesh Patil.
She was taken to a farmhouse, where she was allegedly raped by Pawar and Patil.
Both the accused absconded after the FIR was registered.
