Indore, Oct 29 A seven-member committee headed by an additional advocate general has been constituted to suggest measures to improve traffic management in Indore in compliance with an order of the Madhya Pradesh High Court, officials said on Thursday.

Additional Advocate General Rahul Sethi has called the committee's first meeting on October 31 and asked members to attend with suggestions and measures to improve traffic management, they said.

The committee comprises the district collector, municipal commissioner, chief executive officer of Indore Smart City Development Ltd, deputy commissioner of traffic police, a government advocate and a civil engineer, besides the chairperson.

In an order dated October 13, the High Court's Indore bench directed authorities to take necessary steps to improve the city's traffic system and ensure adequate deployment of police personnel at major traffic junctions.
