New Delhi, Oct 2 Supreme Court judges on Friday paid a floral tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on Gandhi Jayanti and remembered former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on his birth anniversary.
The programme was held at the Supreme Court complex and attended by judges and members of the Supreme Court Bar Association and Supreme Court Advocate On Record Association (SCAORA) participated in large numbers.
Among the judges present were Justices MM Sundresh, KV Viswanathan, Satish Chandra Sharma and Joymalya Bagchi.
SCBA President Pradeep Rai and other bar leaders were also present.
Judges and bar members offered floral tributes at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi and the portrait of Lal Bahadur Shastri at the Central Lawn of the apex court's main campus.
Several court staff and advocates also attended the programme.
