New Delhi, Jun 17 A judicial officer in Himachal Pradesh has moved the Supreme Court alleging that names of officers junior to him have been recommended by the collegium for appointment as judges of the high court.
The apex court collegium had on June 2 approved the proposal for appointment of three judicial officers -- Chirag Bhanu Singh, Bhupesh Sharma and Yogesh Jaswal -- as judges of the Himachal Pradesh High Court.
On Wednesday, the matter was mentioned before a bench comprising Chief Justice Surya Kant and Justice V Mohana.
"The collegium has recommended the names of officers junior to me (petitioner) to the Central government," the counsel appearing for the petitioner said, while seeking urgent listing of his plea.
The CJI said he will look into the matter.
