Cognizant countered by presenting extensive documentation, demonstrating that their logo was independently designed by expert designers, including Nertil Muhaxhiri and the late Orna Navon, without any prior knowledge of Atyati's logo. The court examined evidence, including agreements, time entries, and branding proposals, establishing that the design process was thorough and independent.
The court emphasized that mere resemblance without proof of copying does not constitute copyright infringement.
