Gurugram, Sep 16 A Gurugram court has sentenced a man to two years’ imprisonment for a break-in and theft in the Pataudi police station area, officials said on Wednesday.
According to police, a complaint was lodged at the Pataudi police station about a theft at the complainant's house in Nanu Kalan village on the night of August 21, 2025.
According to a spokesperson for Gurugram Police, the accused, identified as Praveen alias Khadku from the same village, was arrested five days later on August 26.
After collecting evidence and recording the statements of the witnesses, police filed a charge-sheet against the accused before the court, the spokesperson said.
“On Tuesday, the court convicted Praveen under Sections 305 and 331(4) of the BNS and sentenced him to two years’ imprisonment. It also imposed a fine of Rs 500 on the convict,” the spokesperson said.
