Kolkata, Aug 21 A lawyer on Friday requested an inquiry and preservation of CCTV footage, after Calcutta High Court judge Justice Suvra Ghosh released a petition by arrested former minister Sujit Bose from her court over impropriety by the petitioner's counsel.
The matter was reserved for delivery of judgment on August 17, following the conclusion of arguments.
Justice Ghosh, in an order, noted that on August 18, while she was in the courtroom, one of the petitioner's counsels, along with one of her officials, went to her chamber and asked her staff present outside the chamber to bring out the record of this matter, which was refused.
The concerned lawyer, in an affidavit, has claimed innocence and sought an inquiry into the matter and preservation of CCTV footage.
The lawyer also denied having attempted to enter the chamber of Justice Ghosh.
Justice Ghosh, releasing the bail petition of arrested former West Bengal minister Sujit Bose from her court, directed that the matter be placed before Acting Chief Justice Tapabrata Chakraborty for appropriate directions.
